I played a lot of sports, football, basketball and baseball in high school, a pretty large school, Richwoods, in Peoria Illinois. Pretty good too, Really, good at everything, but great at nothing. I could have made the track team, tennis, golf, swimming. My senior year, I began weight training for football. Then, it was pretty much frowned upon for anything else, especially baseball and basketball. After a neck injury ended my hopes of college football (it would have been D3, not that good, remember?) I thought I was finished with organized sports. After being bored one day, I decided to lift and see what I could do. To my dismay, I had not been training, I lost a lot of strength. I decided to start training again and I also thought as long as I was, I should compete in one of the weight sports. I chose weightlifting, entering my first meet just short of my 20th birthday. I found chiropractic because of my neck injury and decided to go to chiropractic school.
